Woodworking
Very difficult to do in an apartment.
Black Walnut Side Tables (Work in Progress)
This is my most serious woodworking and fabrication project to date. I was gifted these matched black walnut cookies. It has taken a while to get settled in and get some decent tools (I hadn't lived anywhere with a functional garage until 2020). I'm fabricating the legs from raw stock.

Cake Box
My Lady loves to bake cakes and often travels with them to parties and events. It was sad to see a beautifully iced cake damaged by bumps, toothpicks, and saran wrap. I created this cake box with a fixed plate to keep her creations safe.

"Jeremiah the Innocent"
This figurine was carved from a piece of cedar and gifted to a friend who is a fan of the musician Daniel Johnston. "Jeremiah the Innocent" is a character drawn by the musician that shows up frequently on his album art. Some artistic license was taken to translate the drawing to a 3D body.

Miniature Rifle Model
Believe it or not, this thing fires! Made from wood and a brass tube, this miniature rifle features a hole on top for a wick. I was able to fire it once with a small lead ball and then retired it to its display stand.
