Ford Explorer
1997 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 OHV with 5-Speed Manual
Backstory
This was a grandpa hand-me-down that needed some simple work to get running, but has since been a trusty steed for 6 years now. As my first car it, has a special sentimental value, and when involved in a fender bender in 2019, getting rid of it was not an option, but rather an excuse for a full front and rear end rebuild and some aftermarket steel bumpers. It lacks the pedigree of the e39 540i, my fun car, but it is surprisingly capable in the snow and mud, and has never let me down. I use this for camping, mild off-roading, and moving things around.

Did I mention its a manual? Yeah, I'm not sure why either.
